  • Japanese Court finds former Mt. Gox CEO, Mark Karpeles, guilty of Manipulating Financial Records.  Mr. Karpeles has announced his intention to Appeal the conviction.

  • Indian Supreme Court has deferred the crypto matter hearing to 23 July, 2019.

  • Yokohama District Court, Japan acquits a man of Crytojacking. Accused was mining Monero by embedding Coinhive in his website and using visitors computing power without permission.

  • Bitmain’s investors are reportedly planning to file a class action lawsuit against it to recover their investments after the expiration of Bitmain’s IPO bid.  

  • Ukrainian Cyber Police has arrested a man for crytojacking & who faces upto 6 years in prison. He placed crypto mining malware scripts on his website(s) which he developed and administered.

  • The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York has indicted crypto firm CabbageTech CEO, Patrick McDonnell, on nine counts for wire fraud.

  • Alexander Vinnik operator of BTC-e exchange has filed an appeal in Piraeus Court, Greece for extradition to Russia on Humanitarian grounds.

  • AriseBank Founder, Jared Rice Sr., has pleaded guilty to one count of securities fraud in Federal Court in Texas. He scammed investors out of $4.2 million by selling AriseCoin tokens.
